Mario Castro, MD, is the Co-Director of the LAM Clinic at Washington University, Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where he sees 7 LAM patients.  He completed his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Missouri.  He then completed a residency and a fellowship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.  Dr. Castro also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from St. Louis University. Adrian Shifren, MD, is the Co-Director of the LAM Clinic at Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where he sees 8 LAM patients.  Dr. Shifren attended the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, for his undergraduate studies and medical school.  He did his residency and chief residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, followed by a fellowship at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital.  Dr. Shifren enjoys tennis, cycling, cooking, reading, technology and cars.
