Shoulder pain

Is this assocatied with LAM? I heard it could be.  I have upper left shoulder pain usually when I'm run down.  My new Doctor, Dr. D Janus suggested I contact you to see if this is the case.  My cousin, Dr Diane Stover is also overseeing my case.  Some answers would be greatly appreciated.

I frequently have chest and upper back pain, usually under the shoulder blade.  Sometimes it's on the right, sometimes left, and sometimes both.  The pain comes and goes, is sometimes sharp and other times achy.  The discomfort is usually worse during my period, which I hear is common in LAM.  No doctor has ever had a clear explanation.  Since I am in the MILES trial and have to record every change, I have become familiar with this pattern and have become less anxious about the pain and the fear that I have a pneumothorax or heart trouble. 

Although uncomfortable, I think the pain is something we have to accept with LAM.  I always take a deep breath to make sure I can breathe okay, check my O2, and sometimes exercise to prove that I am okay.  Anxiety only makes the pain worse.

I hope this helps.  It sure helps me to share and to know that others experience similar symptoms.

Thanks for your reply.  I really think that a lot of my symptoms get worse during my peroid.  My breathing and my back pain, it's definatly hormonal.  How is the Miles Trial going?  I did not qualify (I'm mild to moderate LAM)  Does it include hormone therpy?  How is your skin?  I've always been blotchy (I'm fair skinned) my blotches are white.  I read that this might be a symptom.  I was at the NIH in june and they did not mention any of these symptoms.

Sorry to ask you so many questions but there is only scary info out there (the Web and Dr's).  I like to talk to people who actually have LAM.

I had a bad crash last month...went over the handler bar, and landed on my left shoulder. Ever since, I have a slight pain in my shoulder joint upper arm and shoulder joint. The pain persists only when I lift my arm raise to eye level. Any other movement causes no pain.
Whats wrong with my shoulder?

Is there any specific research on this shoulder pain.  I have had it in my left shoulder and it is quite annoying. I hear a lot of people having this, but no answers.
Also, does anyone have melasma or any dark patches on their face.  I thought hormonally it could be a commonality.
