It seem like when u "Ask the experts" Lam patients answer instead of DR's.  You might as well just post your question to Mary H, she seems to know a great deal about Lam (not to take away from the Dr's but we know more than them...sorry Doc's).  When I'm in the cold I cover my face with a scarf and try not to stay out too long.  i'm more short of breath but as long as I stay away from sick people It's better than being inside!!!

Thanks Beth for responding. I know what you mean about the Drs. There is little science for them to go by. Our experience is often what helps us understand our bodies. I had a slight pneumo after taking a walk in very cold weather and just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? The pneumo has since corrected itself.

Trish,

How did you know you had a slight pneumo?  Did you get an xray?

I always cover my mouth and nose in the cold air.  It really helps!

for me it's yes but it still depends on the person's immune system.
if his body has a weak immune system, therefore he is prone to any kind of condition or disease he might acquire while walking on cold.

Hello, My name is Tani and I just found out today because I also just found out I have best cancer.   The cat scan for the cancer revealed LAM.   I'm 46 with a disabled 17 year old son who I wanted to be around a long time for.   The Doctor's don't have any answers.  My question is how long before I get sick, what can I do to slow this down, and who best to talk to.   Tani

I have never been here yet, since I was dianosed 6 weeks ago.  I have heard leave leave NIH with tons of viatamins.  What are they?

I'm not a big fan of the cold, wish I lived in warmer weather but I haven't gotten pneumonia or sick from being out in the cold. Though I try to limit it and keep bundled up and my face covered. I try to stay out of the cold.
