I am having a very unusual symptom, and I would like to know how I can rule out Hypercapnia?
So far I have not been able to discern a pattern. I am starting to write it down, along with my food journal. This happens when I am sitting, or exerting myself, out in public, and at home.
My ears will get very red- like "I'm so embarrassed red" There will also be a lot of heat coming from them. It can be one or both ears. When this happens, my face flushes also. My face only flushes on the side that the ear does. My chin and chest also flush. Apart from being a little more SOB, and hearing my heart pound ( HR anywhere from 80-105) I have nothing else going on. I have not changed my diet, or taking any new meds, or eating new foods. I am 43- and have regular periods, no night sweats, and my mom went through menopause without any symptoms, so we cannot tell if this is a hot flash or not.
