Hotel room rates are $199.00 per night for a Standard Deluxe Room or Deluxe Room with Double Beds. Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 14.5%) in effect at the time of check-out.

When booking your hotel room, keep in mind conference activities run from Thursday through late Saturday evening. As such, you may wish to arrive on Wednesday, June 21st, or Thursday, June 22nd, and depart on Sunday, June 25th.

You can call the Hyatt Regency directly for reservations at (800) 233-1234. Mention the “TSC and LAM International Research Conference” to qualify for the discounted room rate of $199.00 per night. To receive this discounted room rate, you must make your reservation before Thursday, May 25, 2017.

Airports and Ground Transportationplus

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, located at 400 New Jersey Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001. The hotel is three blocks away from Union Station (Amtrak and public transportation) and within walking distance of many of the city’s top attractions, like the US Capitol Building and the National Mall. Directions and transportation options are listed below.

From Union Station (Amtrak and MARC) (0.4 miles from the hotel)
Walk three blocks southwest to the hotel (400 New Jersey Avenue NW, between E Street NW and D Street NW).

From Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) (5 miles from the hotel)

  • Taxi Fare: Estimated $22 one way
  • Uber/Lyft Fare: Estimated $15 one way
  • SuperShuttle: Estimated $14 one way
  • Metrorail (subway): $2.20 off peak, $2.75 peak one way

Take the Yellow line train from the airport towards Mount Vernon Square/Fort Totten/Greenbelt. Six stops later, exit at Gallery Place-Chinatown. Go upstairs to take the Red line train towards Glenmont. Two stops later, exit at Union Station and walk three blocks to the hotel (400 New Jersey Avenue NW, between E Street NW and D Street NW).

From Dulles International Airport (28 miles from the Hyatt Regency):

  • Taxi Fare: Estimated $90 one way
  • Uber/Lyft Fare: Estimated $50 one way
  • SuperShuttle: about $30 one way
  • Public transportation: $5 for the Washington Flyer Silver Line Express bus + $3.60 off peak or $5.90 peak for the Metrorail (subway) fare

Buy a ticket for the Washington Flyer Silver Line Express bus. The bus makes only one stop: Wiehle-Reston East Station. Take the Silver Line train towards Largo Town Center. Fourteen stops later, exit at Metro Center and transfer to the Red line train towards Glenmont. Three stops later, exit at Union Station and walk three blocks to the hotel (400 New Jersey Avenue NW, between E Street NW and D Street NW).

From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) (35 miles from the hotel)

  • Taxi: Estimated $100 one way
  • Uber/Lyft: Estimated $55 one way
  • SuperShuttle: Estimated $40 one way
  • MARC train: $7 one way

Take the free shuttle bus from the airport to BWI Marshall Rail Station. Purchase a MARC ticket to Washington from the ticket agent or the Amtrak vending machine before you board the train. After 5 stops, exit at Union Station and walk three blocks to the hotel (400 New Jersey Avenue NW, between E Street NW and D Street NW).

Public Transportationplus

Many of you will be taking public transportation to the hotel and around the city. The rechargeable SmarTrip fare card costs $2 and is available for purchase at all Metro (subway) stations. You can use this card to pay for travel on all Metrorail and Metrobus services, as well as the DC Circulator bus. However, SmarTrip is not valid for the Washington Flyer Silver Line Express bus to/from Dulles International Airport or for MARC trains.

The lower off-peak Metrorail fares are in effect from 9:30am to 3:00pm and from 7:00pm to closing. Peak fares are in effect at all other times.

Hotel Parkingplus

On-property indoor valet parking with 24-hour in-and-out privileges is $56 per night for standard vehicles, or $62 for SUVs and vans. Valet parking for visitors and conference attendees is $33 for 0-2 hour, $43 for 2-10 hours, or $56 for 10-24 hours. Self-parking is not available.
