The LAM Foundation and the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance welcomed researchers, clinicians, patients, family and friends to the 2017 International Research Conference on TSC and LAM: Innovating through Partnerships. For three days in June, LAM and TSC experts set future research priorities and forged vital partnerships. The weekend offered many opportunities for scientists and fellows to meet patients and families affected by both TSC and LAM. These personal interactions generated hope for patients and inspiration for scientists. A series of events were planned around the conference in Washington, D.C. including a Patient-Focuses Drug Development meeting with the FDA, LAM Day on Capitol Hill, LAMposium DC, the Breath of Hope Gala and the Step Forward to Cure TSC walk.
