As the Chief Executive Officer of The LAM Foundation, Susan has found meaningful work and a global platform for her expertise and passion for healthcare and improving the lives of others. A successful healthcare executive, consultant, and former certified executive coach, Susan has contributed to the advancement of health and the healthcare industry for more than 30 years. She joined The LAM Foundation in 2013.

Susan has cultivated diverse leadership and industry experience through her professional career and has maintained a focus on healthcare outreach & operations, strategic partnerships, non-profit management, and patient advocacy. From her unique career path, Susan has developed a rich appreciation for the different experiences and perspectives held by patients & families, physicians, and scientific investigators with regard to caring for patients with rare diseases and making scientific progress toward new therapies. Susan has held senior-level executive positions for hospitals and integrated healthcare delivery systems, consultancies, behavioral health facilities, non-profit foundations, and franchise operations. Susan is an active member of the American Thoracic Society’s Public Advisory Roundtable, a former board member of The National Health Council, and participated on the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network’s Coalition of Patient Advocacy Groups.
