Bring The LAM Foundation $15K by Voting for Dr. Lyndsay Hoy, Every Day!
What you Need to Know:
Every once in a while, an opportunity comes along that allows our entire community to make a real difference with just a few clicks.
This is one of those moments.
Dr. Lyndsay Hoy, physician, LAM patient, and Vice Chair of Strategy and Mission for The LAM Foundation, has been selected as one of 10 semifinalists in Philadelphia Magazine’s Health Hero Award competition.
If Lyndsay receives enough daily votes, she will direct a $15,000 award to The LAM Foundation to help advance research, compassionate care, patient education, advocacy, and support for women living with LAM.
This is more than a contest. It’s an opportunity to shine a spotlight on LAM and introduce thousands of people to a rare disease that deserves greater awareness.
Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Lyndsay supporting The LAM Foundation?
Lyndsay was diagnosed with LAM while completing her anesthesiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. As a physician training to keep patients breathing, she suddenly found herself facing uncertainty about her own health and future.
Like so many women diagnosed with LAM, Lyndsay turned to The LAM Foundation for guidance, expert resources, and a community that understood.
Today, she gives back by serving as Vice Chair of Strategy and Mission, helping shape the future of our organization and working alongside researchers, clinicians, volunteers, donors, and patients to move us closer to better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
We are honored to stand behind Lyndsay and hope our entire community will do the same.
Lyndsay has chosen The LAM Foundation as the beneficiary of the Health Hero competition. If she wins, $15,000 will support our mission to advance research, provide compassionate patient support, educate healthcare professionals, and advocate for women living with LAM.
Every vote also helps increase public awareness of LAM and the challenges faced by women living with this rare disease.
