Finish the Year Strong: Smart Ways to Support a Future Without LAM

As we reflect on 2025, this season of giving reminds us how much we can accomplish when we come together. Thanks to your generosity, those with LAM found life-changing answers, expert care , and a community that truly understands. And as new research and treatments move forward, your support matters more than ever.

Year-end is also an ideal moment to consider tax-smart giving options that can maximize your impact while offering meaningful financial benefits.

Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

If you’re 70½ or older, you can donate directly from your IRA. A QCD can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and may reduce your taxable income since the gift is made directly to The LAM Foundation.

How to give: Contact your IRA custodian and request a QCD to The LAM Foundation, 4520 Cooper Road, Suite 300, Cincinnati, OH 45242.

Donate Appreciated Stock

Gifting long-term appreciated stock allows you to avoid capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction for the full market value. This means your gift may cost less than giving cash all while helping accelerate LAM research.

How to give: Ask your broker to transfer shares directly to The LAM Foundation. We can provide transfer instructions upon request.

Give Through Your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

If you have a DAF, recommending a grant is quick, simple, and often completed online in minutes.

How it helps: Your DAF gift provides immediate support for patient programs, education, and innovative science.

Name The LAM Foundation as a Beneficiary

You can designate The LAM Foundation on your IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or bank account with no attorney required.

How it helps: Retirement assets left to charities avoid income and estate taxes; meaning more of your gift directly supports the LAM community.

Tax-smart giving isn’t just beneficial to you, it’s deeply meaningful. Each gift, in every form, fuels hope.
