Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Growth, Impact, and Community at The LAM Foundation
As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible milestones, accomplishments, and connections that shaped this year at The LAM Foundation. Thanks to the generosity, dedication, and collaboration of our community, 2025 was filled with hope, progress, and meaningful impact.
Supporting Patients and Families
This year, our community grew stronger and more connected than ever:
- More than 300 new patients joined TLF—170 in the U.S. and 131 internationally—bringing our total registrants to 4,483 patients and families worldwide.
- We hosted 41 patient and family support events (in addition to LAMposium) attended by 1,062 people, providing education, connection, and empowerment.
- Educational resources continued to reach far and wide, with 18,067 recording views since 2020.
- Our Circle of Hope program supported 12 life-saving transplants, including 11 lung and 1 heart transplants.
- Patients generously contributed more than 54 tissue samples and 2 blood samples to help advance LAM research.
Every connection, conversation, and contribution made this progress possible—and every patient’s voice continues to guide our work.
Expanding the LAM Clinic & Research Network
2025 was also a year of growth in clinical care and collaboration:
- We held 4 LAM Clinic Director meetings, bringing together leaders to share best practices and strengthen patient care.
- 1 new clinic opened in Turkey, expanding access to expert LAM care internationally.
By fostering collaboration between clinics and researchers, we are accelerating progress and ensuring patients everywhere have access to the best care possible.
Growing Our Organization and Community
The strength of The LAM Foundation comes from our supporters:
- More than 720 new donors joined our community in 2025, amplifying our mission and impact.
- On our final day of giving, we raised more than $350,000, fueling life-improving and life-saving research
- 12 dedicated WLPC members and registrants continue to sustain and grow the network that supports patients, families, and research initiatives worldwide.
- We celebrated 30 years of The LAM Foundation and gathered together in Kansas City for LAMposium, connecting patients, families, clinicians, and researchers to share knowledge, hope, and inspiration.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are inspired by the progress made and the work still to be done.
From every patient supported, every researcher empowered, and every donor who gave, thank you for making 2025 a year to remember. Together, we are building a stronger, brighter future for everyone affected by LAM.
